Central, state probe agencies subservient to those in power, alleges MP Sanjay Raut

Mumbai, Feb 12 ( UNI) Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut today alleged that all central and state investigative agencies are subservient to the ruling dispensation and function as "slaves of those in power".
He claimed that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office, no case has been investigated impartially. Raut said that public trust in agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), CID, local police and even judicial inquiries has eroded.
His remarks came in response to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' appeal to trust Indian investigative agencies. Fadnavis had made the statement after MLA Rohit Pawar raised doubts over ongoing probe into the tragic death of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, suggesting it may not have been an accident but a possible act of sabotage.
