CCTNS to be developed in UP to connect all police stations

Lucknow, Mar 11(UNI) Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Alok Ranjan today issued directions to expedite
the efforts to make working of police stations paperless through Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS).
Under the scheme, he said that all police stations and various units of police should be inter-connected through internet. He informed that out of 1,523 police stations in the state, facility to file online FIRs had been started in 1,456 police stations under CCTNS.

AP: Free bus services by APSRTC for devotees within Tirumala

Tirumala, June 16 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Additional Executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary on Thursday informed that state-owned APSRTC buses have been made available to ply within Tirumala transporting devotees free of cost.
Talking to reporters after flagging off the free RTC bus trips at Ashwini Hospital Circle in Tirumala, Chowdary said to prevent the high fares charged by private vehicles from devotees and to control pollution in Tirumala, TTD asked APSRTC to operate buses.
The RTC officials responded positively and came forward to operate buses.
