CCFS, HPNLU Shimla successfully concludes One-Credit Certificate Course on Forensic Science and the Law

Shimla, Dec 8 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, successfully concluded its One-Credit Certificate Course on “Forensic Science and the Law”, conducted by the Centre for Criminology and Forensic Science (CCFS) from 15th November to 7th December 2025 in online mode.
The programme featured 15 hours of intensive instruction, delivered every weekend, and witnessed the participation of over 120 learners from across India, including students, faculty members, legal practitioners, and researchers. Designed to familiarise participants with the principles, practices, and evidentiary standards in forensic science, the course also offered critical insights into the emerging legal framework under the BNS, BNSS, and BSA.
The certificate course integrated lectures, demonstrations, and case discussions to equip participants with a practical understanding of forensic techniques, evidence analysis, expert testimony, and the procedural challenges associated with forensic practice.
