CBSE schools advised to set up Cyber clubs to strengthen online safety awareness

Panchkula July 14 (UNI) Cyber Clubs have been proposed in CBSE-affiliated schools as part of a nationwide initiative to strengthen cybercrime awareness and promote cyber hygiene among students, teachers and parents.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), acting on an initiative of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has advised affiliated schools to establish Cyber Clubs and organise structured cyber awareness activities throughout the academic year.
The Board has asked schools to observe the first Wednesday of every month as "Cyber Jagrookta Diwas" by organising activities such as speeches, quizzes, poster-making competitions, debates, awareness sessions and cyber safety pledge drives to educate students about responsible online behaviour and cyber hygiene.
