CBSE Portal targeted in coordinated cyber attacks; FIR registered, probe underway

New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) The IFSO Unit of the Delhi Police has registered a case and launched an investigation following a complaint by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding coordinated cyber attacks on its official portal.
A senior police official said that based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered under Sections 66 and 43(f) of the Information Technology (IT) Act. The matter is currently under investigation by the concerned cyber crime agency.
According to preliminary findings, unknown cyber attackers allegedly attempted to target CBSE's online portal and associated digital services. The attackers are suspected of making organized efforts to disrupt the portal's functioning, place unauthorized pressure on network resources, and affect the availability of the system.
