CBI books WCL medical superintendent, private chemist in medical bills scam

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today registered a corruption case against Dr. Prithvi Krishna Patta, the Medical Superintendent of the Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) Dispensary in Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur and Kamlesh N. Lalwani, the proprietor of a private medical store in Nagpur, for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent medical billing scheme.
According to the FIR, the accused Medical Superintendent prepared false medical prescriptions, which were then used by the proprietor of the private medical store to raise inflated bills and receive payments from WCL.
It is further alleged that Dr. Patta forged prescriptions by adding costly medicines after they were issued, without the patients' knowledge. Based on these forged documents, inflated bills were submitted and paid to the private medical store by WCL Headquarters in Nagpur.

Red Fort metro reopens in Delhi after explosion

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The Red Fort Metro station in New Delhi reopened to passengers on Saturday, following a four-day closure caused by the Delhi terror blast incident earlier this week, an official confirmed.
According to the police, they have reopened only two of the four gates providing access to the metro station. From Saturday onwards, Delhi Metro passengers can enter the Lal Qila Metro station exclusively through Gate No. 2 and Gate No. 3.
