CBI arrests postal department official in Telangana bribery case

Hyderabad, May 8 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Inspector of Posts of the Wanaparthy Division in Telangana for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a complainant.
According to a CBI statement issued on Friday, the agency registered a case on May 7 against the Superintendent and Inspector of Posts, Wanaparthy Division, along with unknown persons, on allegations of extorting Rs 1.30 lakh from the complainant and demanding an additional bribe of Rs 30,000 for releasing substitute salary dues.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Inspector of Posts red-handed while allegedly accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
