Carey guides Australia to 326/8 on Day 1

Adelaide, Dec 17 (UNI) Australia’s first innings in the Third Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday was defined by a captivating contest between Alex Carey’s composure and Jofra Archer’s relentless pace.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the hosts found themselves in early trouble as Archer and Brydon Carse struck with precision, leaving Australia at 33 for two within the first nine overs.
Travis Head was caught by Zak Crawley off Carse for 10, and Jake Weatherald followed, edging Archer to Jamie Smith for 18.
