Camposol & Ninjacart forge strategic partnership to bring Peruvian blueberries to India

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Camposol, Peru's largest blueberry producer, has partnered with Walmart-backed Ninjacart to distribute high-quality blueberries across more than 100 cities and over 100,000 retail outlets in India.

This strategic collaboration, formalised with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in July 2024, aims to enhance the availability of blueberries in India and foster stronger bilateral agricultural ties between Peru and India.

The partnership leverages Ninjacart's digital marketplace, tech-enabled supply chain, cutting-edge solutions, and data-driven approach to facilitate Camposol's market entry. Utilizing Ninjacart's extensive network, the collaboration ensures a reliable and consistent supply of premium blueberries, benefiting both consumers and retailers. Additionally, the alliance enhances Camposol's operational stability in India through data-driven insights, facilitating faster market access to additional cities and consumers.

"Ninjacart’s strong presence and deep understanding of the Indian consumer will be invaluable in establishing Camposol as a leading supplier of blueberries in India. Leveraging Ninjacart’s market intelligence ensures a curated entry strategy that seamlessly introduces high-quality blueberries to the Indian market. Their extensive distribution network means consumers across India will have easy access to fresh and premium blueberries through 100,000+ retail outlets. Together, we are poised to redefine accessibility and perception of blueberries, ensuring that consumers across the country have access to fresh, high-quality produce," remarked Sergio Torres, Senior Vice President-Commercial Operations, Camposol.

Sharath Loganathan, Co-founder and Head of International Business of Ninjacart, expressed, "We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Camposol, leveraging their superior sourcing capabilities for strong supply. As the largest Peruvian exporter of blueberries, Camposol's vertically integrated operations ensure top-quality produce is delivered efficiently across their operations. Our strong connections with kirana stores, supermarkets, modern trade outlets, e-commerce/quick commerce platforms, and HoReCA partners enable global brands to seamlessly reach premium customers."

The collaboration aims to address the significant supply gap between imported seasonal consumption and domestic production of blueberries in India. By partnering with Camposol, Ninjacart ensures a steady and reliable supply, meeting the rising demand among Indian consumers. Camposol's blueberries will be accessible through Ninjacart's extensive network, including partnerships with major e-commerce platforms and city-level retail presence. Leveraging Ninjacart's efficient supply chain to minimize wastage, these blueberries will be competitively priced. A sophisticated cold chain at 1-2 degrees Celsius from farm to shelf, along with RFID technology at every stage, ensures seamless tracking, faster processing, and efficient segregation.
