Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) The Maharashtra government, headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Tuesday gave its approval for implementation of the comprehensive scheme, ‘Mobile Team’, for rehabilitation of the street children in the state on a regular basis.
With this decision, thousands of street children in the state will get an opportunity for education, health, protection and a new life, making this scheme an important milestone in terms of children's rights.
Accordingly, a total of 31 mobile teams will be started in the state, one each in 29 municipal corporations and one each for the eastern and western suburbs of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, and its scope will be expanded in the state in the coming days.
