By-Polls in eight Assembly seats across seven states see promising turnout

New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Voting continues in the by-elections for eight assembly constituencies spread over seven states, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) enforcing rigorous security measures to ensure a smooth and transparent polling process.
The constituencies include Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha.
According to early reports from the ECI, voter turnout by 01.00 pm has been promising across the board. Budgam recorded a 34.01 pc turnout, while Nagrota witnessed a robust 52.44 percent. Jharkhand’s Ghatshila and Mizoram’s Dampa saw voter participation of 54.08 per cent and 56.35 percent respectively. Odisha’s Nuapada registered 51.42 percent, Rajasthan’s Anta 47.77 per cent, Punjab’s Tarn Taran 36.32 per cent, and Telangana’s Jubilee Hills recorded 31.94 per cent.
