Business Wire IndiaKioxia Corporation today announced its first E1.L form factor SSD built with BiCS FLASH™ generation 8 QLC flash memory. Amid the ever-growing demand for data—including data for AI—hyperscale data centers are increasingly adopting high-density designs to achieve greater storage capacity within limited server space. The KIOXIA LD4 Series is designed for high-density 1U servers and read-intensive storage applications. KIOXIA LD4 Series drives are currently sampling*1 to select customers and will be showcased at the 2026 OCP Global Summit, taking place from October 12 to 15 in San Jose, California.

Notes:
*1 These samples are for functional check purposes only and the specifications of the samples may differ in mass production.
*2 Compliant with the PCIeⓇ 5.0 specification, with speed up to 16 gigatransfers per second (GT/s) x4
*Read and write speed may vary depending on various factors such as host devices, software (drivers, OS etc.), and read/write conditions.
*Definition of capacity: Kioxia Corporation defines a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1TB = 2^40 bytes = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.
