Continental’s group sector ContiTech announces participation in Gastech 2026, the world's largest exhibition and conference for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen and climate technologies, taking place from 14 to 17 September in Bangkok, Thailand.
As floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) continue to accelerate natural gas import projects across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring a safe and reliable gas transfer connection between floating and shore-based infrastructure remains a critical challenge for terminal developers and operators. These systems must accommodate vessel motion, dynamic loads and thermal expansion while maintaining continuous high-pressure gas flow in demanding marine conditions.
ContiTech's API 17K certified flexible hose technology is designed for offshore service, offering fatigue resistance, pressure integrity and motion accommodation. By absorbing operational movements between the FSRU and jetty, the hoses reduce mechanical stress, simplify installation and enhance system reliability, combining advanced rubber compounds with high-performance reinforcement technologies.
For LNG terminal developers and operators across the Asia Pacific region, this delivers a safe, efficient and cost-effective approach to gas transfer, supporting faster project execution and long-term operational performance. Visitors to ContiTech's booth at Gastech 2026 can also learn more about the company's broader portfolio of hose solutions for energy applications.
Scott Weston, Head of Energy Fluids, ContiTech IAPAC, said Gastech remains one of the most important events for the global gas and LNG industry.
“Gastech brings together leaders, innovators and decision-makers from across the natural gas and LNG value chain. We look forward to connecting with customers and partners, sharing our perspective on the challenges shaping the industry and demonstrating how advanced hose technologies can contribute to safer, more reliable and more sustainable operations."
"For LNG terminal developers, the priority is a gas transfer connection they can rely on in demanding marine conditions, without adding complexity to installation or long-term maintenance. That is the problem our API 17K certified hose solutions are built to solve."
ContiTech is at Booth K18 in the USA Pavilion at Gastech 2026, BITEC, Bangkok, from 14 to 17 September, 2026.
