Dr Reddy's gets Brazil approval for generic semaglutide injection

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (UNI) Dr. Reddy's Laboratories on Thursday announced that Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) has granted marketing authorisation for its generic semaglutide injection for the treatment of adults with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes. The drug is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise, either as a monotherapy for patients who cannot use metformin due to intolerance or contraindications, or in combination with other diabetes medicines, Hyderabad based pharma giant said in a release.
