Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has registered a 4 per cent growth in coal transportation during the first half of the current financial year, transporting 299.4 lakh tonnes of coal against 287.6 lakh tonnes during the corresponding period last year. It has significantly increased coal supplies to thermal power plants in Telangana, transporting 198.2 lakh tonnes during the April-September period, compared with 159.1 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year, marking a growth of 24.58 per cent, the Mining company said in a release today.
