RSP's Silicon Steel Mill sets new production, despatch records in H1 2026-27

Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (UNI) The Silicon Steel Mill (SSM) of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved its highest-ever saleable production and despatch in the first half of the 2026-27 financial year, setting new benchmarks for its performance. According to RSP sources, SSM recorded saleable production of 40,730 tonnes during April-September 2026, surpassing its previous best of 40,608 tonnes achieved during the corresponding period of 2008-09. The mill also registered its highest-ever saleable steel despatch of 40,424 tonnes during H1 of 2026-27, exceeding its previous record of 39,827 tonnes recorded in the first half of 2010-11.
