FPIs pull out over Rs 3 lakh cr from Indian equities, October outflows deepen

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have withdrawn Rs 44,166 crore from Indian equities so far in October, taking cumulative outflows in 2026 to Rs 3.04 lakh crore, as rising crude oil prices, a stronger US dollar and elevated US bond yields weigh on the appeal of domestic stocks. The latest sell-off also reflects a shift in global investment flows towards North Asian markets, where the artificial intelligence-led rally has attracted greater foreign investor interest.
