BTS embarks on a sustainable transformative journey to go Green

Bengaluru, Nov 27 (UNI) The three-day Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023, hosted by the Karnataka government, is all set to make an eco-relevant impact by supporting an environment-friendly landmark initiative.
Termed, ‘Green BTS,’ the event will focus on key pillars of sustainability such as carbon, water, energy, waste, food and experience that emphasise the event’s commitment to actively promote eco-friendly practices.
Green BTS 2023 is the first-of-its-kind event in India to issue strict guidelines for practice of green initiatives at the venue such as single-use-plastic, efficient waste segregation, water conservation, and reduced GHG emissions.
The Sustainability Advisory issued on Monday details eco-conscious guidelines and practices targeting all stakeholders at the event including speakers, delegates, invitees and vendors.
The delegates and invitees have been advised to bring reusable water bottles, adhere to waste segregation at food courts and opt for use of low-emission vehicles, renewable energy-based vehicles or carpool to reach the venue.
“We are committed to achieving Net Zero in the upcoming years and all stakeholders play a crucial role in making this summit a beacon of environmental stewardship,” said Priyank M Kharge, Minister for Information Technology and Biotechnology.
“This ambitious goal involves integrating eco-conscious practices in procurement to minimizing waste generation and establishing a Sustainability Advisory for various stakeholders,” he added. UNI BDN SSP
