BSNL announces festive offers: Re 1 plan, Silver Coin, Sr Citizen benefits, Gift a Recharge

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a bouquet of festive offers spanning every customer segment—from new users to long-time subscribers, from individual consumers to businesses, and even special benefits for senior citizens.
This comprehensive promotion runs from October 18 through November 18, 2025.

To welcome new members into the BSNL family, the company has launched a token Re 1 Diwali 4G plan that essentially offers one month of free mobile services for new customers. By paying just Re 1 as a token activation charge, new users can enjoy 30 days of unlimited connectivity.
Key Benefits for the first 30 days include unlimited voice calls, 2 GB/day of high-speed data, and 100 SMS/day. It includes a free SIM card with activation (with mandatory KYC as per DoT guidelines), and the offer is applicable for new customers between October 15 and November 15.

For existing BSNL customers, there will be a Diwali Lucky Draw. Ten customers will have a chance to win one silver coin of 10 grams each, each day, which will be delivered to them.
Every BSNL user who recharges with Plan 100 and above through the Self-care App or BSNL Website on October 18, 19, and 20, will be eligible to automatically enter this festive lucky draw on the day of their recharge, be they long-time subscribers or those who join during the Bonanza period. Each day, they will automatically be entered into that day’s Lucky Draw.
In Corporate Combo Offers, BSNL will provide value-packed connectivity bundles at special festive prices. Customers who take a minimum of 10 new post-paid BSNL connections and one FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) connection, will be given a discount of 10 per cent on First month’s FMC.
In the 'Gift a Recharge' Initiative, the state-owned telecom company is introducing a feature that enables any BSNL customer to gift a prepaid recharge or top-up to friends or family members as
a Diwali present. People can send friends and relatives talk-time or data wrapped as a gift, ensuring they stay connected during the festivities.
The process is simple: customers can use selfcare APP app to send a recharge to any BSNL number, accompanied by a personalised festive message. As an added festive bonus, the central public sector undertaking is offering a little extra value on every gifted recharge. This means the recipient will receive a 2.5 per cent discount on the gifted amount. This promotion will run from October 18 to November 18.

For grandparents and seniors, BSNL has introduced a special Entertainment-packed Senior Citizen Plan, which is tailored to the needs of customers aged 60 and above, with discounted tariffs, extra benefits, and greater ease-of-use. This is a special Sr. Citizen Plan, and for only the new connection plan, 1812 is launched.
Key features include 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, 365 days of validity, and a free SIM. It also includes BiTV premium entertainment bundled free for 6 months. This new connection offer for Senior Citizens will run from October 18 to November 18.

BSNL is extending a 5 per cent festive benefit on Plan Rs 485 and Plan Rs 1,999 made via the Self-care App or BSNL website. This promotion will run from October 18 to November 18. An instant discount of 2.5 per cent is passed back to the customer, and the remaining 2.5 per cent is donated by BSNL towards social-service initiatives—a small diya of kindness to light up more lives.
