Siddipet (Telangana), Nov 3 (UNI) Former Minister and BRS leader T Harish Rao strongly criticised the Telangana government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, for its failure to provide adequate support and minimum support prices for farmers’ crops.
Speaking to the media during a visit to a government-run paddy procurement center in Baddipadaga Village, Nangunur Mandal, on Sunday, Harish Rao expressed disappointment over the government's handling of paddy procurement and its impact on farmers.
Harish Rao recalled that during former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR’s) regime, paddy procurement was seamless, with bags delivered to mills before paddy arrived, partnerships established with mills, and transport arranged efficiently. “Under Revanth Reddy’s leadership, however, even after a month, paddy procurement has yet to start,” he said.
