BRO’s Project Himank marks 41 years of building lifelines in Ladakh’s extreme terrain

New Delhi, December 5 (UNI) The Border Roads Organisation’s (BRO) Project Himank marked its 41st Raising Day, at Head Quarter Chief Engineer Project Himank, Leh, celebrating over four decades of relentless service in some of the world’s most inhospitable terrain.
Operating at elevations ranging from 11,000 to 19,500 feet amid extreme weather conditions, the project recorded significant milestones over the past year, including the completion of four strategic roads spanning 161 km and 22 bridges measuring 941 metres.
Beyond infrastructure, Project Himank played a vital role in community welfare, disaster response and round-the-clock winter connectivity, reaffirming its critical contribution to both national security and civilian life in the region.
