Braving snow, Police and Army save lives across Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 23 (UNI) Amid snowfall and harsh winter conditions, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army provided timely assistance to tourists, patients, pregnant women, and stranded families in several districts, officials said.
Most parts of Kashmir on Friday received the season's first major snowfall that cut off the valley from the rest of the country.
Police said they provided timely assistance to tourists and local residents stranded in Ganderbal district due to heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions at Gund and Sonamarg.
