Bombay High Court grants regular bail in MPID Case

Mumbai, July 15 ( UNI) Justice Ashwin D. Bhobe of the Bombay High Court granted regular bail to accused Majid Usman Attar in the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (MPID) case here on Wednesday after hearing the arguments at length.
The FIR dated August 29th, 2023 was registered against the accused by Samarth Police Station, Pune.
During the course of hearing, Advocate Aashuutosh Srivastava, appearing for the Applicant, advanced detailed submissions in support of the bail application by placing reliance upon the relevant documents and the material forming part of the record. It was, inter alia, submitted that the Applicant had been arrested on 23.04.2024 and has remained in judicial custody as an undertrial prisoner for over a year.
