Body of septuagenarian recovered 24 hours after drowning in Tapti River

Betul, Sep 14 (UNI) The body of a 70 year old who drowned while bathing in the Tapti River's Barahling Ghat in Betul district's Jhallar Police Station limits was recovered 24 hours after the incident, police said.
A team comprising police and State Disaster Emergency Response Force personnel fished out the body and handed it over to kin today following autopsy at the district hospital.
The deceased, Ramsu Baithekar, a resident of Amravati in Maharashtra, had come to Barahling on Friday evening along with his family to attend a relative's 13th day ritual.
