Body of missing girl found in Sitapur, murder suspected

Sitapur, Feb 10 (UNI) The body of a missing five-year-old girl was found late Monday night in a hut outside her village, triggering panic and grief among family members and villagers. The incident occurred in Kalipur village under the Biswan police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Sandhya (5), daughter of Ramsharan, a resident of the village. She had been missing since Monday afternoon. According to her father, family members and villagers were searching for the child when her body was discovered late at night in a hut located outside the village.
The family has alleged that the girl was murdered. Villagers are suspecting that she was strangled to death. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and a forensic team collected evidence. Circle Officer Aman Singh on Tuesday said that the investigation is underway.
