Body found hanging from highway signboard in UP's Chandauli

Chandauli (UP), Dec 13 (UNI) Panic gripped the area on Saturday after the body of a young man was found hanging from a highway direction signboard near Bilari Deeh in the Alinagar area, police said. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
According to initial investigations, the incident does not appear to be a case of suicide. The deceased’s feet were found touching the ground, raising strong suspicion that he may have been murdered and subsequently hung at the spot to mislead the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Karu Bharti, a resident of the Chatra police station area in Jharkhand. His identity was confirmed through documents recovered from the scene. Given the suspicious nature of the incident, police are treating the case as a suspected murder and have begun a detailed investigation.
