Bodies of two Bengal fishermen recovered, search on for three others

Kolkata, Dec 17 (UNI) The bodies of two missing fishermen were recovered on Wednesday, while search operations continued for three others after their trawler capsized in an alleged hit-and-run incident involving a Bangladeshi vessel in the mid-stream of the Bay of Bengal on Monday, official sources in South 24 Parganas said.
The bodies were found inside the capsized fishing trawler, which was located by the search team on Tuesday evening. The trawler was towed to Moynapara dock along the Kakdwip coast in the early hours of Wednesday.
The bodies of Sanjib Das and Ranjan Das were extracted from the engine room after the vessel was dewatered. Sanjib Das was a resident of West Gangarampur in Kakdwip, while Ranjan Das hailed from Purbakhali Durajpur in Purba Medinipur.
