Bodies of 10 passengers found after plane crashed in mountains of Indonesia

Jakarta, Jan 23 (UNI) Indonesian rescuers have recovered the bodies of all 10 people who were on board a surveillance aircraft that went missing in South Sulawesi province last weekend, the country’s National Search and Rescue Agency said on Friday.
The turboprop ATR 42-500 aircraft, operated by Indonesia Air Transport (IAT), lost contact with air traffic control on Saturday near the Maros region of South Sulawesi. The plane was carrying seven crew members and three passengers, all of whom were staff of Indonesia’s Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry. The aircraft had been chartered to conduct aerial surveillance of fisheries.
“All 10 victims have been found,” the search and rescue agency confirmed, adding that evacuation efforts were still ongoing.
