Black Box profit rises 37 pc to Rs 56 crore in Q3, revenue dips

New Delhi, Feb 11 (UNI) Essar group firm Black Box on Tuesday reported 37% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 56 crore for October-December quarter (Q3) of the current financial year 2024-25.
The company had posted a profit of Rs 41 crore in the Q3 of the previous financial year 2023-24.
Black Box's revenue however dipped 9% year-on-year to Rs 1,502 crore in the December quarter of the current financial year as against Rs 1,655 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
In a media release, the company said that its focus on continuous improvement and enhanced productivity measures led to significant growth in both EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) and profit.
Black Box's order book stood at US$465 million (Rs 3,900 crore) as of December, 2024.
Commenting on the results and performance, Sanjeev Verma, Whole Time Director, Black Box said, “The rapid advancements in AI and the ongoing developments in this field are expected to drive a global surge in demand for AI tools across businesses. This, in turn, will accelerate the need for robust digital infrastructure. As a result, hyperscalers are making significant capital investments in AI infrastructure and data centers, reinforcing our confidence in reaching our growth target of US$2 billion in revenue by FY29.”
Added Deepak Kumar Bansal, Executive Director and Global Chief Financial Officer of Black Box, “Our relentless focus on improving operating performance allowed us to achieve the highest ever quarterly PAT (profit after tax).
