BJP worker killed by Maoists in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Oct14 (UNI) A BJP worker was brutally killed by suspected Maoists in Madded area of Bijapur district in south Chhattisgarh, a region long affected by left-wing extremism.
A pamphlet found near the victim’s body claimed responsibility for the killing and accused him of being a police informer.
The deceased, identified as Poonam Satyam, was an active local-level BJP functionary. According to sources, the pamphlet, issued in the name of the Madded Area Committee of CPI (Maoist), alleged that Satyam had repeatedly provided intelligence inputs to the police and aided anti-Maoist operations.
