BJP slams Shivakumar over viral 'half-bitten apple' video

Bengaluru, June 10 (UNI) The BJP on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar after a viral video showed him throwing partially eaten apples towards supporters during a felicitation programme in Kanakapura, alleging that the gesture reflected the Congress party's "arrogance" and "feudal mindset".
Sharing the video on social media platform X, the BJP said throwing half-bitten apples at the very people whose votes bring leaders to power was "no joke" but a reflection of the Congress mindset.
The party asserted that the public demands respect, not charity, and warned that arrogance in public life eventually invites a response from voters.
