BJP leaders may have influenced Murty family’s decision: Kharge

Bengaluru, Oct 16 (UNI) Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge today suggested that BJP leaders may have influenced Infosys founder Sudha Murty’s decision to opt out of the state’s socio-economic survey.
Speaking to reporters, he said it was surprising that a member of parliament would refuse to participate in a government survey and described the move as “not the right approach.”
“The Caste Survey is a government initiative that collects extensive socio-economic and educational data. While participation is voluntary, more is expected from people like them who inspire generations,” Kharge said, adding that declining in writing was “not a good gesture.”
