BJP leader Shantanu Tiwari attacked, car vandalized in Lakhimpur

Lakhimpur, Nov 10 (UNI) A shocking incident took place late Sunday night when BJP leader Shantanu Tiwari, known to be a close aide of the Sadar MLA, was attacked by unidentified assailants, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to reports, the attackers not only pelted stones but also opened fire during the assault. Tiwari’s car was badly damaged in the attack. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
The incident occurred in the LRP outpost area of the city. Tiwari was reportedly returning after inspecting the construction site of his new house when he noticed a group of youths creating a disturbance by the roadside. The situation escalated when he tried to calm them down.

The initiative—part of the expanding She Leads Bharat: Udyam programme—aims to build a scalable national model capable of empowering one million women entrepreneurs and reaching 100 million rural households by 2030.

Liquor shops in Uttar Pradesh will remain open for an extra hour on Xmas & New Year

Lucknow, Dec 12 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Excise Department has decided to extend the hours of operation of all excise retail shops across the state in view of Christmas and New Year.
According to an order issued by the Excise Commissioner's office here on Friday, the opening hours for the shops during Christmas on December 24 and 25 and New Year's celebrations on December 30 and 31 have been fixed from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Lucknow, Dec 12 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor (UPDIC), one of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s flagship initiatives, is swiftly taking shape on the ground.
Envisioned to strengthen India’s defence and aerospace self-reliance, the project has already allotted more than 977.54 hectares of land to 62 companies. These firms alone have paved the way for investments worth Rs 11,997.45 crore and the creation of 14,256 direct jobs.
