BJP leader Bhanu Pratap Shahi raises concern over alleged Bangladeshi infiltration in Jamtara

Jamtara, Dec 13 ( UNI ) BJP leader Bhanu Pratap Shahi, who arrived in Jamtara on Saturday, made a strong statement regarding alleged Bangladeshi infiltration in parts of Jharkhand. He claimed that the number of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Jamtara, Madhupur, and Pakur has crossed 50,000.
Shahi said that a thorough investigation would be conducted to identify infiltrators and asserted that the processes of SIR, CAA, and NRC would be implemented to verify citizenship and address the issue effectively.
Targeting state Health Minister Irfan Ansari, Shahi alleged that after he assumed office, Bangladeshi nationals were allegedly being issued birth certificates. He stated that the entire matter would be investigated in detail.

Meghalaya names squad for Senior Women's One Day Trophy 2025-26

Shillong, Jan 21 (UNI): A 15-member squad was named on Wednesday by the Meghalaya Cricket Association's senior women's selection committee for the BCCI's Senior Women One Day Trophy 2025-26 plate group, which will be held in Febuary.
The team will be captained by stalwart Debasmita Dutta, with Monica Lyngdoh Phawa as the vice-captain.
