BJP leader among eight chargesheeted in Srinagar land fraud case

Srinagar, Oct 17 (UNI) The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against eight individuals, including a BJP leader from Srinagar and three retired revenue officials, in connection with a major land fraud case in Srinagar, an official said today.

The chargesheet was filed yesterday before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, against the eight accused individuals involved in the fraudulent occupation and manipulation of land records by misusing their official positions. The case was registered in 2019.

Akali Dal IT cell chief detained from Amritsar cafe

Chandigarh, Nov 15 (UNI) National president of the Shiromani Akali Dal’s IT Cell Nacchattar Singh Gill was taken into custody by Tarn Taran Police on Saturday evening after officers picked him up from a cafe in Amritsar’s Ranjit Avenue. Gill was seated with friends when the police team arrived and escorted him out of the premises.
