BJP forms fact-finding team after Maddur violence

Bengaluru, Sept 9 (UNI) The Karnataka BJP has set up a fact-finding committee to probe the violence that erupted during the Ganesh Visarjan procession in Maddur town of Mandya district on September 7, which led to injuries and arrests.
According to reports, stone-pelting occurred during the procession, allegedly from a mosque and surrounding areas, resulting in injuries to at least six individuals. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 were imposed to prevent further unrest.
Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara confirmed that the situation is under control, ensuring public safety during the celebrations.
