Bengaluru, July 22 (UNI) In a high-stakes political maneuver, the BJP on Monday appointed Chalawadi Narayanswamy as the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council.
This strategic move highlights the party's commitment to social justice, especially in the context of the ongoing Maharshi Valmiki Nigam scandal that has rocked Karnataka's political landscape.
The appointment, announced by Vijayendra Yediyurappa, son of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, comes at a time of intense public outrage over the misappropriation of Rs 187 crores meant for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes.
