BJP alleges 'secret alliance' between Cong and Jamaat-e-Islami in Kerala

Kottayam, Nov 8 (UNI) BJP Kerala State Vice President Advocate Shon George has alleged that Congress is secretly aligning with Jamaat-e-Islami across the state, accusing the party of compromising national interests for electoral gains.
Speaking on the political situation in Erattupetta, Shon George said that although the Congress publicly claims to have “no tacit understanding” with Jamaat-e-Islami or its political wing, the Welfare Party of India, the links between them are now evident. “The Congress–Jamaat-e-Islami alliance in Erattupetta is no longer a secret—it is clearly visible,” he asserted.
He pointed out that in the upcoming Erattupetta Municipal Corporation elections, Welfare Party candidates are contesting on United Democratic Front (UDF) tickets in the 3rd and 13th wards. He said, "If such an alliance is existing in Erattupetta, it indicates a deeper, covert understanding between the two parties across Kerala."
