BJP alleges gender bias in Thane civic body

Thane, Sep 27 (UNI) Manohar Dumbre, the BJP group leader in the Thane Municipal Corporation, on Monday alleged that the civic administration under the Shiv Sena was repeatedly depriving the female officials of power.
Substantiating his claim, he told, “Two women Assistant Municipal Commissioners were abruptly transferred without giving any reasons.”
“While, two of the senior medical officers, Dr. Kushbhu Tawri and MOH Dr. Vaijayanti Devgikar, were sent on compulsory leave. Both of them resigned their office in protest,” he pointed out.
