BJD alleges rising misconduct by BJP leaders towards govt officials

Bhubaneswar, May 18 (UNI) The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday alleged that incidents of misbehaviour towards government officials by BJP leaders and workers have increased since the BJP came to power in Odisha and accused the state government of turning mute spectator to such acts of illegality and impropriety.
Addressing a press conference here today, Biju Chhatra Janata Dal president Ipsita Sahu and BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty criticised the alleged behaviour of BJP leader Arindam Roy towards officials at the Tangi-Choudwar block office in Cuttack district.
The BJD leaders claimed that an Assistant Block Development Officer (ABDO) and a woman government official were allegedly subjected to verbal misconduct during the incident. They described the alleged behaviour as unacceptable and demanded action against those involved.

Kolkata, Jun 6 (UNI) In what is being seen as the most ambitious railway infrastructure package announced for West Bengal in recent years, union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday unveiled railway projects worth nearly Rs 1 lakh crore, including a proposed Delhi-Siliguri bullet train corridor, 102 Amrit Bharat stations, 538 flyovers and underpasses, 61 new railway projects and a major expansion of the Kolkata Metro network.
