BikeWo, Yubhas Renewables partner to pilot solar-assisted electric three-wheelers

Hyderabad, July 17 (UNI) BikeWo Green Tech Limited on Friday said it has partnered with Yubhas Renewables Private Limited to conduct operational validation of solar-assisted electric three-wheelers aimed at improving mobility in rural and semi-urban areas.
Under the partnership, BikeWo will utilise its rider network and operational expertise to test the vehicles under commercial operating conditions before their planned market launch.
The pilot programme will evaluate the vehicle's performance on parameters such as driving range, battery efficiency, payload capacity, ride quality, thermal performance, braking, operating costs and overall reliability under varied conditions, the Hyderabad based company said in a release here.
Feedback from BikeWo's last-mile delivery network will be used to fine-tune the vehicle's design and performance ahead of commercial deployment.
The collaboration also aims to promote rural entrepreneurship by developing a clean mobility ecosystem.
The two companies are exploring a programme to train rural youth in vehicle operations, maintenance, customer service and business management, enabling them to become owner-operators of solar-assisted electric vehicles.
As part of the initiative, eligible participants may also be able to access financial assistance under the *Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, subject to eligibility norms and lender approvals.
The companies said the long-term objective is to deploy solar-assisted electric vehicles for passenger transport, agricultural logistics, village deliveries, healthcare access and other last-mile services while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities in rural areas.
BikeWo Green Tech Limited CEO Hiten Pal Saklani said the partnership would help evaluate an innovative clean mobility solution under real-world commercial conditions while opening new opportunities for rural entrepreneurship.
Yubhas Renewables Founder and CEO Sai Satyam Pradhan said the collaboration would provide valuable operational feedback to refine the vehicle for reliability, affordability and commercial viability, while supporting sustainable transportation and livelihood generation in rural India.
