Bihar: Special ED court rejects Vipul Bansal's bail plea

Patna, Mar 19 (UNI) A special court of Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday rejected the regular bail petition of Vipul Bansal in Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case.
Special judge of Enforcement Directorate (ED) cum District and Session Judge of Patna Civil Court Rupesh Dev rejected the bail petition of Vipul Bansal after hearing arguments of his counsel and that of the prosecution.The Court found no merit in petition of the accused.
As it is, Bansal was arrested in connection with PMLA case lodged against the Chairman of Bihar State Electricity Board and senior IAS officer Sanjeev Hans. Along with Hans, Vipul and former MLA Gulab Yadav were also arrested in connection with the case as evidences against them were found during the investigation. The court head already rejected Bell petitions of both Hans and Yadav in the case. Hans and Yadav were arrested on October 18, 2024.
