Bihar police may shoot down criminals with illegal firearms: Minister

Purnea, June 19 (UNI) In an unusual step to control crime, the Bihar government may give the police a free hand to shoot down criminals carrying illegal firearms.

Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dilip Jaiswal, while addressing a public meeting on Wednesday in favour of NDA candidate for by-election in Rupauli assembly, said anybody spotted carrying unauthorised firearms in the state would be shot dead by the police.
