Bihar: Engineer and transporter sentenced in bitumen scam

Patna, Dec 11 (UNI) A special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday sentenced a former executive engineer and a transporter in connection with the bitumen scam case.
Special CBI judge Sunil Kumar awarded one year of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 to Baikunth Sharma, the then executive engineer of the Banka Road Division. The court also sentenced Suresh Kumar Gupta, owner of Tirupati Transport, to three years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1,50,000.
