Bihar, birthplace of India's rich cultural heritage: Governor

Patna, Feb 9 (UNI) Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said on Sunday that Bihar is the birthplace of India's rich cultural heritage.
Addressing the valedictory function of GTRI 5.0 dialogue here, Khan said that "an inferiority complex has developed in us due to invasions and centuries of foreign rule, but we should not forget that our civilization is 5,000 years old."
He suggested self-introspection instead of looking outside for the solutions and stressed the need to connect with the cultural values and imbibe them.

Gumla coldest as temperature drops below 10°C in ten districts

Ranchi, Dec 07 (UNI) Jharkhand continues to reel under an intense cold wave as icy winds from North India push temperatures significantly below normal across several districts. While the sky remained clear throughout the day and no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state, the minimum temperature has been steadily falling during the night and early morning hours, causing severe chills among residents. According to the Meteorological Department, ten districts have recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C.
