Bihar assembly passes Rs 45,512 crore first supplementary budget for 2024-25 (RPT)

Patna, July 25 (UNI) Bihar assembly passed Rs 45,512 crore first supplementary budget including over Rs 10391 crore for the education department for the financial year 2024-25.
Replying on behalf of the government in the state assembly during the post-lunch sitting on Thursday, Education Minister Sunil Kumar outlined the achievements and the schemes of the state government for improving the quality of education within the state. He said that the state government was committed to providing quality education to every section of the society including scheduled caste, extremely backward caste, other backward caste, women, minorities, and the oppressed sections.
Outlining the infrastructure details of the education system, the Minister said that more than 74000 schools were functional and the state has more than 5 lakh 77 thousand teachers including that of colleges and universities.
