Bihar: 10,225 school teachers transferred as per choice

Patna, Mar 24 (UNI) The Bihar government has transferred 10,225 teachers as per their choice, accepting their long-pending demand.
According to a notification issued by the education department of the state government, a total of 10,225 school teachers, including 7,272 female teachers, were transferred to different districts on the basis of options given by them in their applications. They had applied using the e-portal, specially created to handle the cases of transfer and posting of a school teacher in Bihar.
Teachers were asked to give their details while uploading their applications to the e-portal while requesting their transfer. Affidavits were also submitted by teachers so that they could be penalised for any wrong information given by them in applications.
