Bidhuri calls for more sanitation workers to keep Delhi clean

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) In a 'Raahgiri' program focused on making Delhi free of garbage, South Delhi BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri stated that public cooperation along with more and better equipped sanitation workers are essential factors or the city's cleanliness.
The event, held at PVR Saket, also addressed the issue of waterlogging. Bidhuri acknowledged that while the rising water level of the Yamuna river has caused water to accumulate on its banks, he credited the Delhi Government and the Municipal Corporation, led by Rekha Gupta, for their "remarkable efforts" in keeping the city clean.
Bidhuri pointed out that although Delhi's population has grown to approximately three crore, the number of sanitation workers has not increased proportionally to meet the needs.
