Bengal Police arrests TMC Councillor Milon Sardar

Kolkata, Sep 20 (UNI) The CID of West Bengal Police on Friday arrested Trinamool Congress Councillor of Barasat Municipality Milon Sarkar for alleged abduction of a Tripura businessman for ransom of Rs 2.25 crore early this month, official sources said.
The businessman who was kidnapped while boarding a car from a parking lot at Khardah in North 24 Parganas was rescued by the sleuths of the Criminal Investigation Department from a housing complex at Barasat in injured condition.
Police during investigation came to know that the businessman, who came to one of his friends house at Khardaha, was kidnapped while boarding a car by a group of unidentified miscreants.
