Bengal LoP opposes 'Babri Masjid' nomenclature for Murshidabad foundation stone laying ceremony laying ceremony

Kolkata, Dec 5 (UNI) Bengal Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Friday flayed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming TMC MLA Humayun Kabir's expulsion was an "eyewash" to pander to Hindu sentiment.
Adhikari also claimed the government would allow the Bharatpur legislator to lay the foundation stone of the Babri Masjid replica in Murshidabad.
"We have no objection if Muslims build a mosque, Christians build a church and a Gurudwara is constructed by the Sikh Community or a mandir by the Hindus, but we have objection about the nomenclature of Babri as Mughals and Sultans not only invaded India but also looted Hindus, vandalised mandirs and tortured Indian mothers and sisters," Adhikari said and added they were playing with fire.
